Do’s & Don’t for Healthy Hair

We all know that hair care is essential to your hair’s look and overall health. But, are you caring for it correctly? Let us help you find some ways to take care of your hair, even at home.

DO:

NOURISH YOUR SCALP

Giving your scalp the nutrients it needs is the key to getting gorgeous, healthy hair. Keep away from conditioners that contain petrochemicals, such as silicone. Use amino acid and PH balanced shampoos and/or cleansing conditioners designed for your hair type. Additionally, it means eating foods rich in fatty acids and drinking plenty of water.

CUT MORE OFTEN

A good haircut does wonders for the health and appearance of your hair. This means it stops split ends and keeps your hair silky and strong. Visiting an established hair her salon like Beauty Connection Spa gives you the chance to talk to your stylist about your hair issues. Our hair experts are available to recommend products, provide individual tips, and answer questions.

DON’T:

MISTREAT WET HAIR

Hair is especially susceptible to damage when wet. So, avoid using a brush to detangle curls after washing your hair. Use a wide-toothed comb instead. This tool is much gentler on wet strands and prevents breakage. Start at the ends and slowly work your way to the roots.

Avoid tying your hair too tightly, especially when it’s wet, to avoid breakage.

OVER-STYLE YOUR HAIR

Heat styling makes your hair look gorgeous and frizz-free. But over time, it can also damage it. Give your hair a break by limiting your heat tool usage. When you do any heat styling always use a heat protectant oil or spray like the CYNOS Water Hair Treatment 9 and 10 from Be Connected International. Air dry your locks whenever possible and ask your stylist for tips and products to improve your air-drying style.
